Welcome to Institute of Agaw Studies
The Institute of Agaw Studies (IAS) was founded in July 21,2021 with a profound dedication to documenting, archiving, preserving, rehabilitating, and celebrating the rich intangible and tangible cultural heritage of the Agaw people. The institute is mainly established to:
- To carry out multidisciplinary research on the Agaw people’s language, culture, traditional knowledge, and history.
- To organize research, technological transfer, and community service, and to act as a hub for Agaw studies both domestically and abroad.
- To plan and organize research seminars, conferences, and workshops with a focus on language, culture, indigenous knowledge, historical studies, and the arts.
- To document and archive the intangible and tangible heritages of the society.
- To offer guidance on any job pertaining to language, culture, and indigenous knowledge.
- To promote the country’s fine arts in many ways.
- To establish and improve an ethnological museum and professional library.
