Research and Community Services
The Ethiopian Ministry of Education has authorized the Institute of Agaw Studies to carry out extensive research on the Agaw history, languages, culture, and indigenous knowledge. Agaw studies’ primary duties include researching, documenting, conserving, archiving, restoring, rehabilitating, and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural heritages of the Agaw people, such as their languages, culture, indigenous knowledge, and history, as well as sharing research results to raise awareness in the community. The institute will print dictionaries in one, two, three, and four languages in addition to assembling and publishing material on language, culture, and history.
In order to disseminate research findings with pertinent societal entities for a range of purposes, the Institute of Agaw Studies works closely with all communities.
