Research and Community Service

The Institute of Agaw Studies at Injibara University is a nationally authorized institution by the government to fully undertake research on Agaw Languages, culture, indigenous knowledge and history. IAS is dedicated its chief responsibilities of studying, documenting, preserving, archiving and promoting Agaw languages, culture, indigenous knowledge, history and disseminating research outputs for community awareness. The institute will compile and publish monolingual, bilingual, trilingual, quadrilingual dictionaries. In addition, it is intended to prepare language, culture, and history related books.

IAS works closely with all communities to disseminate research findings to pertinent bodies in the societies so that they can be used for various purposes.
